How to Pamper Your Skin Naturally

Print Post
There are TONS of expensive skin care products on the store shelves. Truthfully, I don’t care to waste away my money on expensive products, especially if God has already provided so many natural resources that do the job perfectly well (minus the added chemicals that are in so many beauty products 🙂 ).

Below is a list of a few natural resources that you can use to pamper your skin naturally. There are, in fact, several other resources, but these are items that you can easily obtain and use without any fancy mixtures — and should be fairly affordable.

On a side note: Don’t forget to stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water which enhances the well-being of your skin.  Using a humidifier, particularly in the winter when you’re using heat sources to keep your home warm, can keep your skin from becoming so dry as well.

How to pamper your skin naturally:

Coconut Oil
One of the best kept secrets around is coconut oil. You can cook with it, eat it, and it’s safe to use on your skin. Use as a cleanser and a moisturizer.

Honey
Honey is a great cleanser and moisturizer, especially for the face. Just use a couple of spoonfuls, rub all over your skin and then rinse off. Your skin will feel nice and soft.

Oatmeal
If your skin is really itchy, try adding oatmeal to your bath to help relieve inflammation and skin irritation.

Avocado
Healthy fats aide in preventing and reducing dry skin. Avocados are full of healthy fats. Use it to smooth dry areas such as knees, heels and elbows.

Almond Oil
Treat any extra dry spots with almond oil. Not only will it feel good on your skin, it smells good too.

Aloe Vera
It’s useful for more than just burns. Using pure aloe vera from the plant on your skin can help keep it hydrated.

Dry Brushing
Before adding lotions to your skin, consider using a soft, dry brush to remove dead skin cells and encourage the skin to produce natural oils.

Vitamins and Minerals
Eat a diet rich in important nutrients including omega-3 and vitamin E. The healthier you are on the inside, the healthier your skin will be.

Sugar and Oil Rubs
Mix any oil such as almond, coconut or olive with white sugar. Rub it over your skin while in the shower and then rinse off with cool water.
