    Is Your Mind Easily Changed?

One morning last week, I pondered a bit on the Bible verses of Acts 28:3-6. This particular passage tells us of a time when Paul was bitten by a serpent.  While the people surrounding him there were watching, they thought Paul must indeed be a guilty sinner, a murderer, since this serpent bit him. However, because Paul’s life is in the hand of the Lord, the serpent’s bite did not affect him at all. No swelling or illness took place. How quickly the people changed their minds (once again) concerning Paul. Bible verses below: (3) “And when Paul had gathered a bundle of sticks, and laid them on the fire,…

Making Wise Investments as Christian Women

Shakespeare once said, “We cannot all be masters.” There is truth in what he said.  We cannot all be named among the best piano players, the best writers or painters, or even the best cooks or gardeners. Ten Bible Verses to Combat Discouragement

When someone mentions the Israelites from Bible times, we often remember their complaining spirit and how much it displeased God. Did you know that a complaining spirit stems from a heart of ungratefulness? To make matters worse, a heart of ungratefulness will lead us to a state of discouragement. Despite all that God had done time and time again for the Israelites, they always found more reasons to complain. Because they failed to see God’s goodness is the valley of hard times, they soon forgot all that God had done for them, and consequently found themselves discouraged… “And they journeyed from mount Hor by the way of the Red sea,…

5 Bible Verses That Will Boost Your Confidence

Building confidence in yourself is very much encouraged by the world. “You can achieve anything you want if you just believe in yourself,” they say. Grievously, I have to warn you that there is a danger and pitfall in teaching our young people to put all their confidence in themselves. SELF-CONFIDENCE, according to the dictionary, means “a feeling of trust in one’s abilities, qualities, and judgment.” Many young people and adults instill so much confidence in themselves, that they start to feel indestructible, relying on no one but themselves. Later, this can bring a life of misery and stress when we carry all the load ourselves. I have to admit…
