Day 31 – Stop the Stinking Thinking – God Wants to Use You!

Day 31

“Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;”

Stop the thinking stinkingII Cor. 10:5 kjv

It’s time to STOP the “stinking thinking“…

I have to admit, this is a hard one for me.  Satan likes to remind me of my past failures and all my flaws. He rubs my past failures in my face often. These thoughts are certainly not from God.

Dwelling on our flaws and past failures hinder us from being used of God like we could be because we get so focused on our “shortcomings“.  We begin to believe that God can’t really use us.

When this happens, it’s time to start praising and thanking God for all the things He’s done for us. We need to direct our thoughts outwardly instead of inwardly. We need to claim His promises written in His Word. We need to realize God will give us all that we need to do His will.

When the tabernacle was being built…God used those who were willing…and He gave them wisdom to do their work!

“Them hath he filled with wisdom of heart, to work all manner of work, of the engraver, and of the cunning workman, and of the embroiderer, in blue, and in purple, in scarlet, and in fine linen, and of the weaver, even of them that do any work, and of those that devise cunning work.” Exodus 35:35

Remember, we are priceless in God’s sight!

Today, being “Resurrection Sunday” proves that!  Despite the fact that the whole world was full of shameful sinners, Jesus Christ came down to this earth and suffered the reproach of man and the torment of the cross.  Jesus proved that we’re priceless!

He remembers we’re just flesh…

“For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust.” Psalms 103:14

Today, accept God’s forgiveness and grace.   Pray and ask God to help you stop the “stinking thinking“… let God use you!  He wants to use you — and He will when you let Him!

God bless your day ahead,

Rhonda White
