Day 37 – What Does Your Testimony Say to the World?

Day 37 Good  morning!  I’ve just grabbed my coffee and enjoying the quiet peaceful Saturday morning…and want to share with you some tidbits from my morning Bible reading from Daniel Chapter 3.  It’s stuffed full of tiny golden nuggets! Daniel had such a great testimony.  My question is do I have a good testimony before others?  I always feel that there’s room for improvement so I aim to learn as much as possible from our great Bible heroes.  Daniel is a great example for us to learn from… 1.  Daniel had a testimony of an excellent spirit. “Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an excellent…

Day 36 – Wisdom is the Principal Thing; Therefore Get Wisdom!

Day 36 “Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding” Proverbs 4:7 kjv This morning I read one of my favorite stories in Daniel Chapter 2.  The King had demanded the wise men to interpret his dream.  This was a huge problem for the so-called “wise men” because the King didn’t tell them what he had dreamed.  They had to figure that one out on their own!  I’m sure they could have construed up a big story for the interpretation “if only” the King would reveal “what” he had dreamed! I’m sure there’s more reasons (you can comment to add your own thoughts), but here’s some reasons for starters… 1. We’re not interested.  Sometimes we’re so satisfied with the way things are that we fail to desire any “change“.  The fact is, tomorrow will be the same if you don’t do something different today.  For Christians, that first action means to get…

Day 34 – How to Pray for Missionary Wives

Day 34 “And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” Mark 16:15 kjv Missionaries give up their homeland, family, friends, houses, convenience, luxuries, etc. to go to foreign lands to preach the gospel.  Something that’s been on my heart to post for a long while is a list things we can pray for regarding missionary wives.  In fact, awhile back I asked a few missionary friends of mine to help me out on creating a list of things that needed prayer on behalf of missionary ladies. Here’s a brief list:  *Note: I’ve left most of their comments intact so that…

Day 33 – What Should We Do When God Answers Prayer?

Day 33 “Therefore will I give thanks unto thee, O LORD, among the heathen, and sing praises unto thy name.” Psalms 18:49 “I will praise thee, O Lord, among the people: I will sing unto thee among the nations.” Psalms 57:9 “I will praise thee, O LORD, among the people: and I will sing praises unto thee among the nations.” Psalms 108:3 “Therefore I will give thanks unto thee, O LORD, among the heathen, and I will sing praises unto thy name.” II Samuel 22:50 “God be merciful unto us, and bless us; and cause his face to shine upon us; Selah. That thy way may be known upon earth,…
