How to Schedule in Daily Peace and Joy

I absolutely love my daily planner! I laughingly claim that it’s my “second brain.“ My planner usually consist of important things I don’t want to FORGET for the day, but it also consists of regular ROUTINES I’m trying to establish, such as cleaning the bathroom and washing my sheets on Mondays. I LOVE ticking off my little to-dos as I accomplish them. It’s my little reward. [sigh of contentment] Almost always, I jot down a few names in my planner, who are in need of extra prayer, as I scroll through Facebook in the morning, while sipping my coffee. [another sigh of contentment] In simple terms, I write down the…

What Are You Depending On to Get Through Life’s Journey?

What are you depending upon to get you through life’s journey? Is it your job or income? Is it your personality or particular character? Is it your knowledge or IQ?Is it your ability to multi-task? Is it your talent in a certain area? Is it a strong family member you lean on? We all tend to rely on various things as we tread through life. Our human nature wants to cling to the various strengths and strong points to plunge through the troublesome bumps in the road. But it’s often when we’re finally left desperately treading water to stay afloat, with NO OTHER source to lean upon, that we finally…

    Is Your Mind Easily Changed?

One morning last week, I pondered a bit on the Bible verses of Acts 28:3-6. This particular passage tells us of a time when Paul was bitten by a serpent.  While the people surrounding him there were watching, they thought Paul must indeed be a guilty sinner, a murderer, since this serpent bit him. However, because Paul’s life is in the hand of the Lord, the serpent’s bite did not affect him at all. No swelling or illness took place. How quickly the people changed their minds (once again) concerning Paul. Bible verses below: (3) “And when Paul had gathered a bundle of sticks, and laid them on the fire,…
