“For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.“ “But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.” – First Timothy 6:10 and 11 KJV Paul instructed Timothy to be different from those who strived for riches and material possessions. God’s Word says that “loving” money and wealth is the root of evil and will bring about many sorrows. It’s not that having those things will ruin us; it’s the LOVE of it and the greed for more. Rejoice, Rejoice… You CAN Rejoice!
Philippians 4:4 says, “Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.” I know I’ve already used this verse not too long ago…but I couldn’t help but feel that it was appropriate for me to use it again today. After all, the emphasis in this verse is to REJOICE again and again — and always. 🙂 And that means it’s perfect for everyday use. How Much Do You Love the Lord?
Today’s Bible passage is Mark 12:30 (kjv) which says, “And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.” The question I wanted to present to you today is… How Much Do You Love the Lord? Is it enough that you’ve spoken to Him in prayer today? Is it enough that you craved His Word by reading your Bible today? Is it enough that you have included Him this week in all your decisions? Is it enough that you thank and praise Him continually? Is it enough that…

Hit Delete on Negative Thoughts
*Updated 7/24/18 – Originally posted Aug 25, 2013 “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.” Philippians 4:8 KJV Philippians 4:8 is one of my favorite verses… it tells us exactly what we should “THINK” about. Think about things that are… – True – Honest – Just – Pure – Lovely – Good Report Everything else that does NOT fit into these categories needs to be “DELETED“ from our minds. (Yes, just like you clean up your phone…
