One morning last week, I pondered a bit on the Bible verses of Acts 28:3-6. This particular passage tells us of a time when Paul was bitten by a serpent. While the people surrounding him there were watching, they thought Paul must indeed be a guilty sinner, a murderer, since this serpent bit him. However, because Paul’s life is in the hand of the Lord, the serpent’s bite did not affect him at all. No swelling or illness took place. How quickly the people changed their minds (once again) concerning Paul. Bible verses below: (3) “And when Paul had gathered a bundle of sticks, and laid them on the fire,…

Ten Bible Verses to Combat Discouragement
When someone mentions the Israelites from Bible times, we often remember their complaining spirit and how much it displeased God. Did you know that a complaining spirit stems from a heart of ungratefulness? To make matters worse, a heart of ungratefulness will lead us to a state of discouragement. Despite all that God had done time and time again for the Israelites, they always found more reasons to complain. Because they failed to see God’s goodness is the valley of hard times, they soon forgot all that God had done for them, and consequently found themselves discouraged… “And they journeyed from mount Hor by the way of the Red sea,…

Mini Bible Study About Using Our Mouths
Today, I’ve done a mini Bible study on the word “MOUTH” which could be enlarged even further if we also added the word “LIPS” to the study, but for the sake of my time and especially YOUR time in reading, I’ve kept it basically to just a study on the word, MOUTH,” using Psalms and Proverbs. In the Bible, there are 415 instances with the word “mouth,” 18 instances with the word “mouths,” 206 instances with the word “lip,” 119 instances with the word “lips,” and 161 instances with the word “tongue.” As you can see, we can learn much in studying what God’s Word says about the use of…

My God is bigger than your god!
Exodus 7: 10-12 10. And Moses and Aaron went in unto Pharaoh, and they did so as the LORD had commanded: and Aaron cast down his rod before Pharaoh, and before his servants, and it became a serpent. 11. Then Pharaoh also called the wise men and the sorcerers: now the magicians of Egypt, they also did in like manner with their enchantments. 12. For they cast down every man his rod, and they became serpents: but Aaron’s rod swallowed up their rods. I read this Scripture reference a few weeks back… Exodus 7:12 makes me lavishly grin each and every time I read it! It reverts me back to…

Do Your Trials Get in the Way of Believing God
Exodus has some incredible FAITH inspiration! Just reading through chapter one, I’m always inspired how God blessed the midwives with houses (Exodus 1:21 kjv) when they feared and obeyed God rather than Pharaoh, when he told the midwives to kill the baby boys being birthed by the Hebrew women. (Exodus 1:17 kjv) In Exodus chapter two, Pharaoh’s devastating cruelty is shown when he commands that all the baby Hebrew boys were to be cast into the river. Just ponder the pain for a moment… The Egyptians made the children of Israel to serve with rigor; And they made their lives bitter with hard bondage… (Exodus 1:13, 14 kjv) And NOW……
