Before ripping the paper off all those gifts this Christmas, do take time to read the real Christmas story from Luke 2:1-21 *Note: You can print off this Christmas Story Word Search that I created to do for fun on Christmas Day. Christmas Story Word Search & Color Sheet: (Take a peek & see if you like it!) https://media.publit.io/file/HCHGifts/Christmas-Story-Word-Search.pdf Taking time to ponder some of these things, like Mary did (Luke 2:19), concerning the birth of Jesus, I created “sort of” an Acronym for G.I.F.T. G.I.F.T. Feel free to use this for your own ministry or lesson with your children. G – Glory to God “Glory to God in the…

Help Thou Me
Countless times, I’ve been in stressful situations where I felt I couldn’t handle circumstances on my own. I needed help. “Please help me, Lord,” has been uttered from my lips numerous times. Truthfully, I have almost felt sort of guilty with the simplicity of my prayer. Should I have taken time to construct a more eloquent speech with my prayer request? Psalm 119:86 kjv says, “All thy commandments are faithful: they persecute me wrongfully; help thou me.” When I read David’s simple prayer, “Help thou me,” I felt a peace that my own simple, heartfelt pleas have been adequate at overwhelming times when I simply didn’t know what to pray,…

Let This Be a Reminder to Praise the Lord, Even in the Wilderness
In Psalm 107 we read of the Israelite people, who wandered in the wilderness (vs. 4) and experienced many distresses. I would say that with the current situation in our world today, many of us are facing some stressful situations, such as sickness, health issues, jobs, finances, loss of loved ones, tension and stress from political issues, and for many Christians, persecution is prevailing. Most women deal with stress on a continual basis. The Lord God, in His wisdom, created women with a nurturing spirit. We have a tendency to extend ourselves emotionally and physically for healing and support of our family and friends. Because of this, we can easily get overwhelmed and drown ourselves into a…

Stick Like Glue in Your Christian Faith
There’s never been such a time in my own life where I’ve seen so much turmoil and conflict going on in our world. How about you? In truth, we are in a great spiritual warfare. Atheists say there is no God… If they can convince themselves and others to believe this lie, then they can feel free to live their life on their own terms. If there is no absolutes, then what God says is sin will not restrict their own lifestyle and choices. And ever wonder how some people can appear to have absolutely NO common sense? Without GOD, one lacks wisdom. A society who rejects GOD lacks wisdom…
