    But God is With Us

Good morning to you! This morning I’m sharing a “mini devotional”, as I am busy this week with food and family preparations going on for Thanksgiving Day.  (By the way, I wish you and your family a “Happy Thanksgiving”. I hope you can enjoy some time with your family.) The other day, this Bible verse from the New Testament caught my attention… And the patriarchs, moved with envy, sold Joseph into Egypt: but God was with him, – Acts 7:9 KJV I felt like there was just a heart-warming assurance in that little statement… “but God was with him.”  God had not forgotten Joseph. I Shall Not Be Moved — Are You Planted Deeply in Your Christian Faith?

The first chapter of Psalms tells us of one who is strong, well-rooted, grounded, productive, prosperous… not easily moved in their Christian faith. “And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.”  – Psalm 1:3 KJV ALL needs are met for this well-planted tree…the nourishment of sun and a continual supply of water for the roots.  Because the roots are healthy, the tree is able to be firmly and deeply planted. *Updated 7/31/18 – Originally posted July 6, 2014 Satan tries to keep reminding me of my past failures and past sins. Does he do that horrendous thing to you? Without a doubt, I could probably answer that question with a heart-wrenching “yes” on your behalf. How do I know?  Because Satan is our enemy. His game plan is always the same for Christians. His goal is to make us feel like a failure so that we will live a defeated Christian life… a life without joy. You can be certain of this…. Your negative thoughts… Your thoughts of failure…  Your pondering of past sins… They’re whispered LIES in your ear…

Every Knee Shall Bow – Bible Verse and Poem

That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. – Philippians 2:10,11 KJV I want to encourage you, my Christian friend, to keep standing for the Lord! Someday, EVERY knee shall bow and confess that Jesus Christ is Lord! Our world seems to be getting worse… the mockery of Christianity seems to prevail. Our persecuted brothers and sisters in Christ have suffered much. Do NOT be discouraged! The atheists, the evolutionists, the scorners and mockers of Christianity shall ALL…

How to Fight and Finish Well

Weariness.. Perhaps you’re facing a trial where there is no easy solution to conquer the situation. Our human nature often tries to prevail with a courageous “fight” to survive. After we realize that there’s no easy way out, we lose our peace…we toss and turn in bed at night. The more we fight, and the more we search for solutions, the more exhausted and weary we become. We fear the “what ifs” of tomorrow or near future.  We look back trying to see what we should have, could have done. We spin our wheels without any progress… wearily pushing forward, but barely hanging on. When Moses began leading the Israelite people out…
