When you’re weary and exhausted there is hope…

In the first chapter of Luke, an angel of God told Mary that she would have a son and call his name Jesus.  Mary then confronts the angel with the “questionable circumstances” from her own perspective of what seemed impossible… “Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man?” (Luke 1:34) The angel responds with such powerful statement of which we all should take notice:  “For with God nothing shall be impossible.” (Luke 1:37) Long ago…but not so long ago when my boys were very little (how time flies), my hubby was outside working to repair his vehicle that was used specifically for…

Oh, the little dangers of leaning the wrong way…

If you could talk to a leaning tree…oh, the woes it could share with you. A leaning tree is weak when the storms come. It’s more at risk of toppling over than trees with a good structure and an evenly balanced weight. A leaning tree also presents a possible danger to the dwellers nearby, especially if the tree hovers closely to a house or electrical wires. He wants us to feel discouraged and defeated.  There are sins that I’ve asked forgiveness for at least 100 times or more.  And the song below is what God is saying to me when I repeat myself over and over again. “What sins are you talking about? I don’t remember them anymore…” We must take God at His Word. He is faithful and just to forgive us of our sins.  Every time Satan reminds you of your sins and failures, stop and thank God for His faithfulness to forgive you.  If you haven’t yet asked…

It’s a Scary Road… Show Me and Teach Me

Shew me thy ways, O LORD; teach me thy paths. – Psalms 25:4 When I was young (just fresh out of college), I was getting ready to go on a simple little road trip to stay with a friend of our family for a few days so that I could attend a Bible conference nearby.  I became quite anxious because I’m very terrible at navigating on the road. (I’m not exaggerating!) 🙂 I get turned around and desperately lost once I get behind the wheel and pull out of the driveway.  I remember my mom trying to clearly explain the directions, and after seeing the panic manifesting on my face,…
