I have loved deviled eggs since my childhood. Like I’ve shared previously, vinegar and tart foods are a love of mine. Have you ever noticed how quickly they disappear at church potluck dinners? lol For a tasty twist on classic deviled eggs, give this slightly spicy version a try. The combination of avocado, red pepper flakes, and other spices add tons of extra flavor to an otherwise basic recipe. Prefer more (or less) heat? Simply adjust the amount of crushed red pepper until you find the right balance. Sugar-Free Pickled Jalapeno Peppers & Red Onion
My history of love for pickled foods… I believe my dad had a lot to do with my acquired taste for pickled foods. When I was very young, he used to boil eggs and douse them with vinegar and salt. You’ve got to get your money’s worth!” In pain, we’d slowly stroll away after our meal, gently climb into the car, our bellies aching from our over indulgence of an abundant meal. I soon learned that buffets are NOT such a great bargain for the belly after all. 😉 Alas we met… One fine day, while on our “Belly-Busting…

Curried Egg Salad Recipe – No Mayo!
Last Friday for lunch I tried this new recipe for Curried Egg Salad — It was gratifying (especially since I’ve always had a weakness for eggs) and it was certainly nice knowing that I was eating something “healthy” for lunch. I love “spicy“ stuff — “A little bite makes every bite worthwhile, I say.” 😉 — so I can see adding a splash or two of my favorite hot sauce in there…perhaps even some chicken chunks for a heartier meal….with a pickle or other veggies on the side. If you’re eating gluten-free, this can certainly be eaten as-is without the bread… I tried that, too. After all, someone had to…
