My Favorite Christian Books:  Some Things I’ve Learned by Curtis Hutson

Today’s Topic: Take Good Care of Your Health (pp. 113-116)

About the book: “Acquiring wisdom takes time. It is a lifetime endeavor but well worth the effort. For over thirty years Curtis Hutson had pointed people to Jesus. As he traveled and met thousands of people, he discovered that wisdom is often simple everyday truths. “Whenever I learn things that help me, I try to write them indelibly on the wall of my memory. Life should be governed by principles, not preferences.” As a father would share with his son, here is the wisdom of a lifetime to guide and enlighten. Many of these principles you will already know, but others may surprise you. Take a few minutes and let Dr. Hutson share with you “Some Things I’ve Learned.”

Points to Ponder:

It’s easier to retain than it is to regain health.

Learn about nutrition, and eat properly.

Your cells are about 75% to 85% water so drink plenty of water.

Exercise is also important to good health.

Breathe deeply through your nose and exhale through your mouth when you exercise.

If you don’t take good care of your health, you’ll bear the physical consequences.

It’s a sad fact that most people take better care of their automobiles and their animals than they do their own bodies.

Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.  – I Corinthians 3:16, 17

I believe we are to care for our body, the temple of God.

Oh wow! That’s wonderful that you had the privilege of hearing him preach. I REALLY do love this book. We are on our second time reading through it. 🙂

(I had to re-upload my video this morning because the first one was cut off for some reason, so I thought I’d let you know in case you missed it. I’m sure some were wondering why I only had a 42 second video. LOL 😉
