The Greatest Valentine Gift Ever Given

Today, I operated on a little girl. She needed O- blood. We didn’t have any, but her twin brother has O- blood. I explained to him that it was a matter of life and death. He sat quietly for a moment, and then said goodbye to his parents. I didn’t think anything of it until after we took his blood and he asked, “So when will I die?” He thought he was giving his life for hers. Don’t Struggle Beneath the Water

Let’s face it.   Life gets REALLY rough sometimes.  It’s during these times when we start to wonder… WHY.  “Why are all these things happening to me?”  We’re human.  Our fleshly nature is weak, and we can quickly begin to sink in fear and worry.  Remember Peter?  (Read the story here: Matthew 14:22-33) He stepped out with confidence onto the water in middle of the sea when Jesus asked him to come to him… But when Peter saw the boisterous winds he became afraid. This fear overtook him and that’s WHEN he began to sink. Peter took his eyes off Jesus and focused on the storm. Thankfully, Peter quickly called out…

Guest post by Kathy McCullough, Pastor’s Wife, Hillcrest Bible Baptist Church, Arkansas City, Kansas Happy New Year Let me be one of the first to say it, “HAPPY NEW YEAR,”  since it is already 2016 or it will be here VERY soon.  I don’t know about you, but I did LOVE 2015! When I reflect on it, there were ups and downs, successes, failures, but it was still a wonderful year. This New Year promises us a new beginning. God must love new beginnings because there are so many of them–a new sunrise every morning, a new sunset every eve.  Every spring brings new flowers and the leaves that had dropped come out…
