This week I’m trying to encourage myself with this thought… In “every mess” give thanks! 😉 Last Thursday, I was tidying up in my kitchen and cleaning my sink area as well, when all of a sudden a supporting metal pipe (our pipes are pvc, except for one lonely pipe from a wall which connects and supports the kitchen sink pipe under the sink area) burst open and water began to flow out and make it’s way into many unwanted parts, including the basement area as well. (I believe some corroded, rusty, metal pieces fell down in there and lodged, even though we were able to repair the pipes back…

Why Jesus Said, "It is Finished"
I had a big goal in 2014 that I didn’t get finished. The goal was to get my house organized from top to bottom. First, I didn’t realize what a challenge that would be trying to get all of it done in a specific time frame since we had collected WAY too much stuff over our 21 years of marriage. Secondly, I got distracted… I got lazy. But, thankfully, I’ve never quit. I’m still pursuing that goal headstrong. I have quite a long way to go, but as the saying goes… you only fail if you quit. Drop a Word of Cheer and Kindness to Encourage Someone Today
Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. ~ Proverbs 18:21 Every day we have an opportunity to use a powerful tool… That power tool is in our own mouth…. our very own tongue. I always have in the back of my mind something that needs to get done. The mental list is like a gazillion feet long. And once I get my day started, I hate delays and interruptions when I’m in the midst of getting a project done. Oh, I really hate when I mess up and have to start all over. I said all of that to say again… it’s really hard to sit…

Would I Trade Places?
I’m sure thankful for God’s love and His daily mercies. Aren’t you?!? I’ve made (and still make) so many mistakes a long the way. But I’m so encouraged by what God has said in His Word, “for He knoweth our frame”. He knows I’m going to mess up. That’s not an excuse to stay on the wrong path, but it’s certainly God’s merciful way of letting me know that He realizes I’m not perfect. I need HIM everyday! And YOU need HIM everyday. Don’t start your day without Him!!! 🙂 Here’s some verses that surely encourage me… The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.…
