Even When We Fail, God is Still Faithful

I fail. And to be more honest, I fail a LOT. There are times that I may say the wrong things or think the wrong things. There are times when I may not read my Bible or pray like I should.  There are times when I make mistakes or perhaps fall into the temptation of sin. Today, I’m so thankful and grateful for the Lord’s mercy and compassion which does NOT FAIL. Each day (TODAY), is a new beginning… God’s mercies are new for you and I today. I know it’s true because God’s Word says “his compassions fail not.” It is of the LORD’S mercies that we are not…

Using Your Hands for the Lord

And it came to pass, when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed: and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed.  But Moses’ hands were heavy; and they took a stone, and put it under him, and he sat thereon; and Aaron and Hur stayed up his hands, the one on the one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun. Exodus 17:11,12 Last week, while reading Exodus 17:11 &12, I wondered to myself about WHY God allowed Israel’s enemy to prevail when Moses put His hands down.  After all, the victory of the battle had…

    How Often Should I Pray?

There’s many verses from God’s Word on prayer, but perhaps you’re wondering, “How often should I pray?” We never seem to question how often we should nourish our body with food.  For me, it’s around three times per day, but there’s times we may miss breakfast or another meal.  We definitely feel the hunger pains if we skip eating for very long. One way or the other, as you can see it’s a continual process of nourishing ourselves. Another question to consider is how often do we talk with our friends?  Those with whom we have the best relationships — there’s often a frequent communication pattern involved. We know Daniel…

Start Over… Back to the Beginning

In the beginning… it all started with God. God created the heavens and the earth. A perfect, beautiful world was created for us. And God saw that everything He made was very good. (Genesis 1:31) It wasn’t long until man yielded to temptation and sinned.  Was it murder that caused Adam and Eve their first downfall?  No.  Was it a terrible lie that they told? No. It was an act of disobedience of eating from the tree which God had told them was completely off limits.  (Genesis 2:17) Adam and Eve had many good choices from delicious fruit trees, but obviously they weren’t content with only those choices. Let’s not…

Why We Feel the Backlash from the World…

This verse, John 7:7, drew my attention last week.  Jesus made it clear why the world hates Him. Also, as Christians, it’s really God (Jesus Christ) that they hate, whom we represent. The reason for their hatred is evident.  People don’t want to believe in God (Jesus Christ) because His light reveals their darkness. Their sin. If people can label themselves as atheists, they won’t have to feel accountable for their sin. Those that believe in evolution work hard to prove their theories so that they can also live the way they want to live without feeling accountable to God. Be a Christian that’s proud to represent the righteousness of…
