How well do you know the Lord God? Isn’t it important to know which things please God and which things displease Him so that we ourselves can please God and be blessed? The word, DELIGHT means “to please greatly.” Today’s mini Bible study is based on eight things that DELIGHT the Lord, meaning it pleases Him greatly. Eight Things that DELIGHT the Lord 1. Obedience and Hearkening (Listening) “And Samuel said, Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.” – I Samuel 15:22 kjv…

Help Thou Me
Countless times, I’ve been in stressful situations where I felt I couldn’t handle circumstances on my own. I needed help. “Please help me, Lord,” has been uttered from my lips numerous times. Truthfully, I have almost felt sort of guilty with the simplicity of my prayer. Should I have taken time to construct a more eloquent speech with my prayer request? Psalm 119:86 kjv says, “All thy commandments are faithful: they persecute me wrongfully; help thou me.” When I read David’s simple prayer, “Help thou me,” I felt a peace that my own simple, heartfelt pleas have been adequate at overwhelming times when I simply didn’t know what to pray,…

Let This Be a Reminder to Praise the Lord, Even in the Wilderness
In Psalm 107 we read of the Israelite people, who wandered in the wilderness (vs. 4) and experienced many distresses. I would say that with the current situation in our world today, many of us are facing some stressful situations, such as sickness, health issues, jobs, finances, loss of loved ones, tension and stress from political issues, and for many Christians, persecution is prevailing. The Best Talent You Should Strive to Obtain
Here’s a good question to ponder right this moment…Could we trust God fully if He wasn’t so faithful? As we read through God’s Word, we can see that He NEVER has failed — and that He has ALWAYS been faithful to His Word. And He ALWAYS will! David himself experienced God’s never-failing faithfulness… “The testimony of the Lord is sure” – Psalm 19:7 kjv“Thy testimonies are very sure” – Psalm 93:5 kjv(*Sure= Unfailing, infallible, faithful) Many of you have a diversity of gifts or talents in life. (Or, perhaps you may feel sort of like I do, in that I lack much in the talent department. Ha! ha!) But, I…

Stick Like Glue in Your Christian Faith
There’s never been such a time in my own life where I’ve seen so much turmoil and conflict going on in our world. How about you? In truth, we are in a great spiritual warfare. Atheists say there is no God… If they can convince themselves and others to believe this lie, then they can feel free to live their life on their own terms. If there is no absolutes, then what God says is sin will not restrict their own lifestyle and choices. And ever wonder how some people can appear to have absolutely NO common sense? Without GOD, one lacks wisdom. A society who rejects GOD lacks wisdom…
