Today’s key Bible references are from Proverbs 2:4 and 5 KJV I’ve been working online for quite a few years now. Today there are tons of applications to automate processes. One of the very first automation apps I used back in the day was called, “If This, Then That.” You could create recipes for automating some of your work. One quick example was, IF you posted a blog article, THEN your blog photo and link would be automatically sent to your Facebook page. I loved the automation process. It made life much easier and saved me a lot of time. While reading my Bible, I have discovered lots of “if…

How Memorizing Scripture Has Personally Helped Me
This is a guest devotional by Sheila Campbell When I was a little girl, my dad encouraged my brother, sister and I to start memorizing Scripture. He was a new believer and did not know at the time of the impact that it would have on all of us. He purchased some books, that were geared for our age, that were for weekly scripture memorization challenges. My Dad promised us that if we would memorize the pages, he would give us a prize when we would see him again. (My parents were divorced, and Dad had visitation rights every other weekend.) I never realized, until I was much older, what…

Be Thoroughly Furnished
Today’s key Scripture reference is 2nd Timothy 3:16 and 17 (KJV). “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:” “That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.” As Paul plainly stated in today’s Scripture reading, ALL Scripture (both Old and New Testament) are inspired by God and is profitable to us for doctrine and instruction in righteousness. But, the verse I wanted to focus on today is verse 17…specifically the words, “That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished” The word “perfect” implies being “complete” in spiritual maturity. We…

How Much Do You Love the Lord?
Today’s Bible passage is Mark 12:30 (kjv) which says, “And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.” The question I wanted to present to you today is… How Much Do You Love the Lord? Is it enough that you’ve spoken to Him in prayer today? Is it enough that you craved His Word by reading your Bible today? Is it enough that you have included Him this week in all your decisions? Is it enough that you thank and praise Him continually? Is it enough that…

Do You Prefer to Be Patted?
The chief rulers, in Jesus’ day, had a serious flaw that many of us face in our own life from time to time… Pride. John 12:42 and 43 KJV says, “Nevertheless among the chief rulers also many believed on him; but because of the Pharisees they did not confess him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue:” “For they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.” Sadly, pride also keeps us from being a witness and taking a bold stand for Christ in our modern day and age. We’d rather keep our level of self “respect” than to be laughed and frowned upon for…
