Why We Feel the Backlash from the World…

Print Post

This verse, John 7:7, drew my attention last week.  Jesus made it clear why the world hates Him. Also, as Christians, it’s really God (Jesus Christ) that they hate, whom we represent.

The reason for their hatred is evident.  People don’t want to believe in God (Jesus Christ) because His light reveals their darkness. Their sin. If people can label themselves as atheists, they won’t have to feel accountable for their sin. Those that believe in evolution work hard to prove their theories so that they can also live the way they want to live without feeling accountable to God.

Be a Christian that’s proud to represent the righteousness of Christ. Don’t give yourself the liberty to do everything the world does. It’s getting harder and harder to know who’s a true Christian and who is not….Christians are seeming to blend right in with the world.

Read God’s Word daily to make sure you’re aware of the things you should and shouldn’t be doing. Yes, people can be quite hateful when they’re convicted of their sin because we don’t want to participate, but without us demonstrating Christ’s love and what a difference He makes in our lives, they may never seek God’s love and mercy and His salvation.

Why would others want to know Jesus as their Savior if they see no difference between your life and their life?

Realize also that every single one of us shall give an account to God one day.  It doesn’t matter whether you label yourself as an atheist or an evolutionist, etc.  There’s no way to bypass the fact that God’s Word holds the truth.  We shall ALL be accountable for our actions and our sin.

For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God. So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God. – Romans 14:12

Remember, when we feel the backlash from the world, it shows that God is evident in our lives… they are hating God (Jesus Christ), whom you represent.  Stay faithful. Stand strong.

The world cannot hate you; but me it hateth, because I testify of it, that the works thereof are evil. – John 7:7

Live a godly example today!

God bless you and your family,

Oh how I needed to hear this! I’ve been struggling with separating myself from my family who are not saved and definitely of this world. The rejection and hurtful words for many years and recently, have broken me into pieces! God has been showing me and working in me to fix this. The verse John 7:7 and your final comment of, “When we feel the backlash of the world, it shows that God is evident in our lives,” just clicked!! ☺ I know God is going to use this for His glory! Love in Christ ~

      Becky,

So very thankful that God used these words that I shared to encourage you. I’m so sorry to hear of the trials and tribulations you’ve been facing with your family…and yet so encouraged to hear that you’re staying faithful in your convictions. Yes, God is using you for His glory. Hang in there! You may be the only “Bible” they will ever read which will lead them to salvation… so continue being a walking testimony for the Lord Jesus!

      Love n prayers,

      ~ Rhonda
