*Updated 7/31/18 – Originally posted July 6, 2014 Satan tries to keep reminding me of my past failures and past sins. Does he do that horrendous thing to you? Without a doubt, I could probably answer that question with a heart-wrenching “yes” on your behalf. How do I know? Because Satan is our enemy. His game plan is always the same for Christians. His goal is to make us feel like a failure so that we will live a defeated Christian life… a life without joy. You can be certain of this…. Your negative thoughts… Your thoughts of failure… Your pondering of past sins… They’re whispered LIES in your ear…

Love Jesus ALL Year Long! (Christmas in July for Jesus)
At Christmas time, Christians tend to focus more on Jesus. We talk about Jesus being the wonderful GIFT to our world…and how much we should LOVE Jesus. As Valentine’s Day approaches…we speak of LOVE and remind others to also LOVE Jesus. By the time July comes…we’ve moved on…we busy ourselves in summer activities. Every Knee Shall Bow – Bible Verse and Poem
That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. – Philippians 2:10,11 KJV I want to encourage you, my Christian friend, to keep standing for the Lord! Help My Unbelief!
Just how BIG and MIGHTY is God? Really, think for a moment… and seriously try to answer that question. Whatever your answer is — you’re wrong! In saying that, we often allow “unbelief” to seep into our thoughts and hearts. A friend sent me an email last Friday, as an encouragement. She’s also the one that inspired me to write this devotional about the topic of “unbelief”. She had been reading 2 Kings 4:8-17. In this reference, we read about a woman from Shunem, who often…

Did This Man’s Riches Keep Him from Going to Heaven?
There once was a young man who had great possessions… And he thought he was in pretty good standing when it came to keeping all the commandments that Jesus had mentioned in Matthew 19:18 & 19. He was a decent person…what more could he lack to get to Heaven someday? This man felt confident in himself and his own goodness, but he was not prepared for Jesus’ response… Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me. But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions. – Matthew…
