How to Gain Strength When You Are Weak

It’s said that a chain is only strong as its weakest link.  Once that link gives way under the pull and strain, the chain becomes broken. With God linked into our life… our weakest link is made complete and strengthened by God.  His grace and strength is enough to withstand the biggest pulls and strains in our life. The tough part might be for us to be glad in our trials and infirmities, but that’s also when we’ll find real rest and peace.  When we struggle on our own to fight or figure out the solution to our problems, we become weary and worn out…and even weaker. We can be…

New Words Will Be Spoken Today…. How Will You Use Them?

Each day is, in fact, a new gift…it’s another day that the Lord has mercifully let us wake up to see.  With our new day comes new opportunities.  New words will be spoken.  The important question is, will our words be acceptable in the sight of the Lord?  If He were sitting right next to us, would we still say it? As Christians, we aim to be kind and do things to help others… but did you know we can be doing and saying all the right things and still be doing it all wrong? Our real motives can get quite messy… Other people see your deeds… God sees you motives. Some examples of wrong motives: Doing things to be seen by others; we hope to receive a pat on the back. [Matthew…

    You Only Live Once

How peculiar to say “you only live once” as an excuse to throw it away. Living for the moment…and what makes me happy right now…makes my life about me. Living for the future where I’ll spend eternity… and working to gain a faithful crown makes my life about Christ. Paul said, “Yet not I, but Christ liveth in me.” It’s not about me. It’s not about you. Remember my world and your world should revolve around Christ. Yes, you only live once…so choose very carefully. Hollywood produces movies where characters throw caution to the wind and they live only for the moment.  They party now, enjoying things that feed their…
