Turning on the news these days does not seem to bring me much gladness. Have you ever come away feeling happy and uplifted after hearing about fires, floods, earthquakes, volcano eruptions, tsunamis, violence and other catastrophes from all over our world? I suspected not. Me neither. The good news is that our meditation of our Heavenly Father is sweet. It can bring calmness as we can ponder on all the goodness of God. Our meditation of Him can bring peace as we think about all His wonderful promises written in His Word. We can also turn to the last book of Revelation and read the end of the story. We…

Love Jesus ALL Year Long! (Christmas in July for Jesus)
At Christmas time, Christians tend to focus more on Jesus. We talk about Jesus being the wonderful GIFT to our world…and how much we should LOVE Jesus. As Valentine’s Day approaches…we speak of LOVE and remind others to also LOVE Jesus. By the time July comes…we’ve moved on…we busy ourselves in summer activities. Did This Man’s Riches Keep Him from Going to Heaven?
There once was a young man who had great possessions… And he thought he was in pretty good standing when it came to keeping all the commandments that Jesus had mentioned in Matthew 19:18 & 19. But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions. – Matthew…

Let’s Take a Closer Look at Jesus’ Example
Bible Reference: Luke 6:12-16 KJV 12 And it came to pass in those days, that he went out into a mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God. 13 And when it was day, he called unto him his disciples: and of them he chose twelve, whom also he named apostles; 14 Simon, (whom he also named Peter,) and Andrew his brother, James and John, Philip and Bartholomew, 15 Matthew and Thomas, James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon called Zelotes, 16 And Judas the brother of James, and Judas Iscariot, which also was the traitor. Every time you read through the Bible, you’ll be able to glean new golden nuggets. Last week, when I read the…
