“Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.” Psalms37:4 Good morning! This evening is another day that I’m looking forward to meeting in the “House of the Lord.” Where else would one rather be when the church doors are open? I hope the answer is nowhere else!! I’m so grateful to my parents, who raised me to be faithful to attend church each week. There was NEVER a lingering question, “Are we going to go to church today?” It was simply understood and mentally placed on “agenda list” just as you planned to eat breakfast, lunch or dinner. You have to wonder…

Restore Your JOY and Reap So Much More
Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit. – Psalm 51:12 kjv David’s song and prayer in Psalm 51 is a plea to restore his JOY. It’s obvious that if he’s asking to restore his JOY, then he once had it and sadly lost it. We can lose our JOY when we let sin come between us and God. In an earlier verse, Psalm 51:10, we see that David already addressed this situation when he humbly requests, “Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.“ To restore the JOY of the Lord in our lives, we first…

Double Your Portions this Year
I tell you there’s nothing so satisfying as having a second helping of my favorite dishes, such as homemade chicken and noodle soup. What’s your favorite dish that you just can’t resist but have a second serving? While we’re encouraged as women to “watch our weight” and cut down on those extra portions, one wonderful truth is that you can feast wholeheartedly on the Word of God! In fact, feast on it continually! Psalm 119:57 kjv says, “Thou art my portion O Lord: I have said that I would keep thy words.” The Holy Bible is our guide and instruction Book…our own personal love letter from God. Of course, it’s…

Dealing With Grief – A Word of Encouragement from a Mother’s Heart
Today, I wanted to share a word of encouragement from a special friend of mine, Tosha Coberley. She’s been such a blessing to me over the past few years since I’ve had the privilege of knowing her. She’s a godly young lady, wonderful wife and mother, but what astounds me most of all is her eagerness and desire to constantly know more of God’s Word and to be pleasing and honoring to our Saviour, the Lord Jesus. After losing her little 4 year old son in 2011, her testimony still stands strong today. I’ve asked to share with my readers here, her insight on dealing with grief. I hope, if…

And Now the Broken Teapot Has a New Purpose – Jeremiah 18:4
“And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter; so he made it again another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make it.” ~ Jeremiah 18:4 Today, I want to share with you a cute little poem (down below) about a broken teapot. My pastor’s wife (Mrs. Kathy McCullough) wrote this poem, and last year she placed it on pretty bookmarks to give to the ladies at our church. I keep mine at my bedside since that’s where I love to read. I love teacups and teapots as well. There’s soooooo many designs and colors. So many unique ones; they never…
