    Where is your faith?

“And he said unto them, Where is your faith? And they being afraid wondered, saying one to another, What manner of man is this! for he commandeth even the winds and water, and they obey him.” – Luke 8:25 KJV One day, Jesus got into a ship with his disciples to go to the other side of the lake. (Luke 8:22) I’m sure this was a common practice of traveling during these times when you lived near water, but I do doubt the decision to travel by ship or boat was considered if the skies looked exceptionally stormy. So, I’m assuming it was a rather pleasant day when they launched…

Why I’m a Guilty Sinner and Needed Forgiveness

Today I want to express how grateful and thankful I am for my Salvation. So, why would I even NEED salvation?  After all, I don’t consider myself that “bad of a sinner“… I haven’t robbed any banks or committed any murders or stole my best friend’s husband. In fact, I’ve never smoked, nor tasted a drop of alcohol, nor even cursed in my life… I stood at the marriage altar in purity… but still I am a sinner and was a sinner in great need of Salvation. You see, I can’t keep the whole law… God knows I’m not able to do so. The Ten Commandments are like a mirror…it…

    Finding the Time to Pray

*Updated 4/3/2019 – Originally posted June, 13, 2019 The most common frustration for tired, weary Christians in our hustle and bustle modern society is that, “I just don’t have the time to pray!”. We may find ourselves grieving over the loss of a loved one, or the constant struggle of being a caregiver to a precious one with a terminal illness such as my 23 year old daughter has been doing now for several years to her husband who has ALS. You may find that you have a new loss of finances due to a…

Do You Have Confidence That Your Prayers Are Being Heard?

I’ll be honest.  Sometimes it seems like my prayers are just hitting the ceiling.  But, those thoughts are certainly not from the Lord. These thoughts stem from: – The lack of faith Dig into God’s Word more.  Reading and hearing God’s Word increases your faith. “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” (Romans 10:17) Choose Bible verses on faith and memorize God’s Word to instill these in your heart. – The lack of patience We want our prayers answered “N-O-W” — so God must not be listening. REMEMBER >>God’s timing couldn’t be more perfect! God sees the whole picture.  It’s a good thing we’re…
