” Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:”
~ Philippians 1:6 kjv
Sometimes the road gets a little weary.
Sometimes things don’t go as smoothly as planned.
Sometimes it looks as if you’re going to fail.
Sometimes it doesn’t seem worth it to keep going on.
Sometimes doubt begins to enter your mind, even though you feel that the Lord called you to do what you’re doing.
Sound familiar?
Realize it’s
God’s job to win the victory over battles that you face, not you. When you really grasp that concept, you become
confident. That is, you’re
confident that the Lord can handle every situation. Whatever work God has called you to do, He’s going to make the plan work if you keep on doing what you’re called to do.
Don’t be weary….keep circling your battles in prayer.
“And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.” Galatians 6:9
What if Joshua had quit on the sixth time around Jericho? What if he gave in to his weariness and decided things didn’t look so hopeful…that it seemed too silly to be walking around Jericho? What would have happened? I believe they would have lost the blessings of winning victory over Jericho! Their future would have been affected. The here and now affect our future as well.
It’s always too soon to give up….God’s timing is perfect!
Day 18
Keep praying. Keep praying. Wait on the Lord. Find your courage and confidence in the Lord.
“Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.” Psalms 27:14
Above all, never quit!]]>
