What do we value most? What’s really important to us? We often find that out when we no longer have it.
Today I’m sharing a post (
with permission) from a special friend on Facebook, Felicia Doss.
“On my heart this morning…
If I were told I could no longer pray, would it even bother me? Would I miss communing with my Lord?
If my Bible were stripped from the grasp of my hands, would I even miss it?
If I could no longer pray & read my Bible, would my daily routine remain the same? Would my children even notice a change in the way I go about my day, or would it be just as before?
If I could no longer read the Bible to my children or gather them together to pray, would they even care?
Have I instilled enough Scripture in their hearts to carry them on till the day they die?
Have I hidden enough of God’s word in my heart & soul & mind that it would sustain me for the rest of my life? Would I wish I would have memorized more, a whole lot more?
I never want to take for granted that these privileges as a Christian & the freedoms that we enjoy as Americans will always be here. If the Lord tarries His return, I pray my children, grandchildren & even great-grandchildren, too, will enjoy these same freedoms.
May God help us to live our lives to where He is such an important part of our day that we feel we must pray more, read more & memorize more of His Holy Word. May our children be able to see just how important it is to us, as well & long to have even a closer relationship to Him than we do!”

Day 22
Not sure yet if there’s a real God above?
I find it interesting that George Müller had more than 30,000 “specific” prayers recorded in his journals that were answered. (
He cared for around 10,000 orphans in his lifetime — there’s a LOT of needs in caring for that many children.) AND, he had the conviction NOT to tell the community about his needs; he prayed directly to the Provider above about ALL his needs.
The odds are extremely against (
impossible) anyone who would roll a pair of dice 30,000 times — and rolling the exact number they were seeking every single time. No statistics, nor any modern day science theories can explain how 30,000 “specific” prayer requests were answered. God doesn’t care about the odds. There’s nothing impossible with God.
We don’t need to look for “proof” that there’s a God. God proves ‘Himself” when we take our first step in faith and keep walking in faith. (“
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” ~ Ephesians 2:8,9)
Quote from George Müller,
“This…is one of the great secrets in connection with successful service for the Lord; to work, as if everything depended upon our diligence, and yet not to rest in the least upon our exertions, but upon the blessing of the Lord.”
God bless your day ahead — And PRAY for America!!
