“For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.”

~ Proverbs 2:6

[caption id="attachment_4118" align="alignright" width="164"]God gives wisdom liberally God has the answer, just pray![/caption] Have you ever heard that saying, “God helps those who helps themselves“? It doesn’t mean that we ought to just figure things out for ourselves.   It does imply; however, that we need to take action. We don’t just pray and then sit around waiting for God to do all the work.  If we do our part, God’s more than willing to do His part — the part that we can’t do on our own. Sometimes it’s difficult know what we should do next, or figure out how we should solve a problem.

“If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.”  James 1:5

We need wisdom.  Lots of it!

Guess who’s got plenty of it….so much He can dish it out liberally!?! All we have to do is ASK…go ask for it in prayer!

Day 8

Pray for wisdom.  Pray for wisdom in every area of your life — ministry, family, business… whatever it may be that you’re involved in. You probably already know that George Washington Carver discovered more than 300 uses for the peanut.  What you may not realize is that he had a daily habit of rising up at 4:00 a.m. in the early mornings….seeking wisdom from God. His discoveries provided a solution for many others…and today, we still reap the benefits!  (I LOVE peanut butter, by the way. 😉) Here’s some more quotes from Mark Batterson’s book
“Good ideas are good, but only God-ideas change the course of history.” “Our biggest problems are only solved in the presence of God.” “If we hit our knees, the Holy Spirit will do the heavy lifting.” “If we hit our knees, the Holy Spirit will give us God-ideas for our ministry, family, business — for our lives.” “Are my problems bigger than God, or is God bigger than my problems?” “One God-idea is worth more than a thousand good ideas.”
